Jennie Wanda Prebble was born August 14, 1930, in Hay Springs NE to Charles and Wanda (Myers) Prebble and peacefully passed on September 19, 2024 in Rapid City SD surrounded by loved ones.

Jennie Wanda Graduated from Hay Springs High School in 1949 that same year she married her first husband Billy John Kubo to that marriage 5 children were born Monte Allen Kubo (Toby), Gary Wayne Kubo (Joker), Timmothy Mark Kubo, Twyla Marie Kubo-Schilling, and John Keith Kubo.

Jennie lived and worked around the Chadron/Crawford/Hay Springs area for the duration of her life. In the 1970โ€™s Jenny remarried to Jesse Wasserburger of Crawford NE until his death. Jennie was a huge part of the senior citizen community in Crawford NE where she spent 25+ years cooking for the seniors. Jennie Wanda had a huge heart and that love was shown and seen through her love of her family and community. Jennie had a deep love for horses as a young girl and that same passion carried on throughout her lifetime.

Jennie is preceded in death by her youngest son John Kubo, both of her parents and all her siblings. Jennie is survived by her 3 sons and one daughter Gary Kubo of Ft Collins CO, Tim Kubo of Rapid City SD, Monte Kubo of Rapid City SD, Twyla Schilling of Crawford NE, her 21 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many extended family members.

Jennie will be laid to rest in Hay Springs NE at the Hay Springs Cemetery on September 28, 2024, at the same time as her youngest son John Keith Kubo (1/13/1964-8/30/2024). Services will be held at the Methodist Church and will begin at 11 AM on Saturday September 28, 2024. The services for Jennie Wanda Wasserburger and John Keith Kubo will be held together. A celebration of life luncheon will be held after services at the Methodist Church.
