A Celebration of Life for 76-year old retired pastor Jerry Sprock will be this summer on Sat, July 22, at 10:00 CT at the Salem Community Center @ The Armory in Salem, Missouri
A luncheon will follow.

Jerry asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be collected and divided between ministries in which his children are actively involved: Circles of Grant County (Andrew), Love thy Neighbor – Dent County (Rachel), and a ministry to be determined after Angela is settled into a new community.

Jerry Sprock lived an active and joyful life, loving others and serving the Lord as a Minister of the Gospel despite battling cancer and heart disease for multiple decades before going home to heaven on April 3, 2023.
Generous in life and in death, his body was donated to medical studies.
Jerry graduated from Chadron State College in Chadron, NE, and went on to Seminary at the American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley, CA. His first pastorate was at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roundup, MT, where he served 6-1/2 years.
A short pastorate in McCook, NE, followed before Jerry took his final leadership position in Hays, KS, where he pastored for 26 years at the First Baptist Church
After retiring in August of 2015, Jerry and his wife Nancy moved to a small acreage near Salem, MO, a few miles from his daughter Rachel and son-in-law Jeremiah.
Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy, son Andrew (Melissa) Sprock, daughters Rachel (Jeremiah) Privett, Angela (Duane) Freed and six grandchildren Kai, Tate & Aniyah Sprock; Justice, Paxton & Mercy Freed.
He is also survived by sister Mary (Jerry) Green and sister-in-law Liz Sprock of Crawford, NE; nephew Pastor Aaron Sprock of Chadron, and many other loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent & Vicki Sprock of Chadron, and his brother John.
