Petersen for Nebraska
Scott Petersen, Republican nominee for Nebraska Secretary of State, today announced the endorsement of Jessica Pollema, leader of SD Canvassing, a South Dakota grassroots election-integrity organization.
Pollema said Petersen’s commitment to transparency, local control, accurate voter rolls and citizen involvement allows Nebraska to help lead a broader regional movement focused on restoring confidence in American elections.
“I’m proud to endorse Scott Petersen for Nebraska Secretary of State,” Pollema said. “As our neighbors to the south, Nebraskans have an opportunity to elect a true election-integrity leader who understands that confidence must be earned through transparency, accountability and a process citizens can see and trust.
“Those of us working on election integrity in South Dakota understand that these challenges do not stop at a state line. The Great Plains has an opportunity to lead the country by demonstrating what transparent, locally controlled and citizen-focused elections can look like.
“I’m excited about the prospect of having Scott Petersen next door as Nebraska’s Secretary of State and working alongside leaders across our region who are serious about restoring confidence in American elections. Nebraska and South Dakota can help set the standard for the Midwest and the nation.”
Pollema also praised Petersen’s grassroots approach to election reform.
“Scott is a grassroots champion who understands that election integrity belongs to the people,” Pollema said. “He respects local control, values citizen involvement and recognizes that election systems should be transparent enough for ordinary voters to understand and verify. I’m proud to stand with him.”
Petersen said the endorsement reflects a growing regional movement among citizens who want election administration to remain local, transparent and accountable.
“Jessica has been a tireless grassroots advocate for election integrity in South Dakota, and I’m grateful for her support,” Petersen said. “What excites me most about this endorsement is the opportunity it represents. Nebraska and South Dakota share more than a border. We share a belief in local control, citizen involvement and government that remains accountable to the people it serves.
“The Great Plains can become a national model for restoring confidence in our elections. That means accurate voter rolls, strong citizenship verification, transparent election procedures, secure chain of custody, voter-verifiable paper ballots and citizens who remain actively engaged in the process.
“I look forward to working with election-integrity leaders across our region to make Nebraska a national leader in secure, transparent and trusted elections.”
Petersen has made election integrity a central focus of his campaign for Nebraska Secretary of State, emphasizing voter ID, citizenship verification, accurate voter rolls, voter-verifiable paper ballots, strong chain-of-custody protections, transparent audits and greater public involvement in election administration.
