Burial is at St Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Rockyford, SD
A two-night wake service starts Thurs, April 28, at 4:00 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson with rosary services Friday at 7:00 PM
John Francis Steele-LaDeaux was born on November 28, 1992 in Pine Ridge, SD to Lynette (Joe) Steele-Sierra and Samuel LaDeaux, Jr. John made his journey to the Spirit World on April 18, 2022 in Manderson, SD.
John is survived by his parents, Joe & Lynette (Steel) Sierra and Sam LaDeaux, Jr.; sisters, Shania (Kyle Blacksmith) Sierra, Malena (Lance Black Tail Deer) Sierra, Sweetgrass Sierra, Winyan LaDeaux, Bessie LaDeaux, Jessica LaDeaux, Arlene LaDeaux, Georgia LaDeaux, Katie LaDeaux, Cassandra Red Cloud, and Carly Clifford; brothers, Gerard Steele, Joe (Kylie Cedar Face) Sierra, Jr., Rowdy Sierra, Duane Sierra, Ronald Sierra, Dean LaDeaux, Robert Steele, and Gene Kaline; grandparents, John & Anna Steele, Robert Pretty Face-Sierra, and Vina White Hawk; great grandmother, Bernice White Hawk; and numerous aunts, uncles, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his brother, Sam LaDeaux III; grandparents, Sam, Sr. & Bessie (Janis) LaDeaux, Franklin Steele, Duane Steele, Timothy Steele, and James Steele; great grandparents, William & Margaret (Cottier) Steele and William & Fannie (Yellow Bull) Little Dog; uncle, Duane Steele, Jr.; and cousins, RJ Kills Enemy and Lexi Rondeau.
