D2 Football dot com has named Chadron State place kicker Gunnar Jones as their national special teams player of the week.
It’s his 2nd honor of the week for Jones after claiming the RMAC special teams player of the week award on Monday.
Jones hit a pair of 57-yard field goals in last Saturday’s win over Adams State, matching the Eagles school record.
The Eagles go on the road Saturday to CSU-Pueblo.
