Joseph Mickey Thunder Hawk was born on June 26, 1946 in Pine Ridge, SD to Andrew Thunder Hawk and Loucille (Two Eagles On White Star) Thunder Hawk.  Joseph made his journey to the Spirit World on May 30, 2021 at the Sanford Hospital in Chamberlain, SD.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Rose Marie High Hawk; children, Farrell Thunder Hawk and Ted Crow; adopted son, Joshua Thunder Hawk; brothers, Conrad D. Thunder Hawk & Family and Donovan (Cynthia) Thunder Hawk & Family; and sisters, Annabelle Weston & Family, Twila Black Feather & Family, Dolores & Paul Finnie & Family, and Francine & Richard Little Bear & Family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew M. Thunder Hawk and Loucille (Two Eagles On White Star) Thunder Hawk; son, Moses Thunder Hawk; brothers, Olson Wounded Horse, Jr., Howard White Face, Dale Bert Two Eagles On White Star, and Alex Thunder Hawk; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Thunder Hawk, Belva Jane Thunder Hawk, Elva M. Wounded Horse, Mary (Becka) Sun Bear-Young, Lena “Penny Lou” Johnson, Lorraine Eagle Elk, Winnie White Face, Esther White Face, and Myrna Lou Young Bear; granddaughter, Baby Shirley Frequez; nephews, Dion Horse, Douglas Horse, Baby Boy Thunder Hawk, Roland Eagle Bull, Paul Red Feather, and Andy Robertson; niece, Andrea Jolene Thunder Hawk; aunties, Aggie White Face, Hattie Mary White Face, Hannah Berdine Black Feather, Ramona Sun Bear, Delores Mills, Alice Jack, Matilda Peneaux, Minnie Thunder Hawk, and Velma Red Feather; uncles, Oliver Sun Bear, Hobart White Face, Romeo Thunder Hawk & Robert Thunder Hawk; grandparents, Julia Crazy Horse, Ella Crazy Horse, Thomas Thunder Hawk, Joseph Two Eagles On White Star, and Elsie Henry-Two Eagles On White Star.
