Just Love Coffee at 3rd and Main in downtown Chadron will soon have another ordering option for customers. A drive thru.
After bringing the southern coffee and waffle shop to Chadron in 2019, owner Drew Petersen is taking the next step by adding a drive thru on the south side of the building. Petersen said that he had patrons suggest that they would like the option of a drive thru and felt that he needed to make that easier option available.
Petersen says that even when Just Love Coffee went in five years ago, it was planned out with the possibility of always adding a drive thru some day.
Just Love Coffee already offers dine-in, delivery, carry out and the use of their mobile app.
Part of the development includes tearing down the old Capstone building that sits just to the south. Capstone has since relocated to the Market Place building on 2nd street.
Petersen says that while the addition of the drive thru takes away three parking stalls on main street, the development includes adding ten parking spaces on the south side of the drive thru lane.
Petersen says they hope to have the new drive thru up and running by the end of August.
