Karen Lynn Lame-Oldson “Wiyaka K’chi Mani Win” ~ Walking With A Feather Woman ~ was born on March 10, 1975 in Pine Ridge, SD to Theodore Lame, Sr. and Cornelia Kills Small. Karen made her journey to the Spirit World on May 19, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Karen was a loving mother to 6 children. She was also a devoted wife to her husband whom she loved until her untimely passing. Over the years, Karen had several grandchildren, whom she kept dear to her heart, and siblings who will greatly miss her.
Karen could bring joy to a room with one word. She loved everybody whole heartedly and will be missed by so many. Karen lived a beautiful, happy life. She can now rest peacefully and continue to share those smiles and laughs from above.
Karen is survived by her father, Theodore Lame, Sr.; spouse, Leslie Oldson, Jr.; daughters, Dakota, Thelma, Melody and Louise Pond; son, Jon Pond; siblings, Cameron Kills Small, Sr., Donovan He Crow, Lesley, Elthea, Larry, Ryan, Theodore, Jr., Waylon and Selena Lame; and 7 grandchildren.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Cornelia Rose Kills Small-Black Feather; and son, Greg Pond, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Brent Waters, Trevor Oldson, Kyle Brings Plenty, Brandon Kills Small, BJ Plenty Arrows, Gregory Ponds and Gaylen Twiss.
