Funeral services for 38-year old Karyn Blue Bird-Mesteth are Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 at St Julia’s Episcopal Church in Porcupine, SD, with Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head and Pastor Albert Sutton officiating.
Burial is at St Alban’s Episcopal Cemetery in the Evergreen Community of Porcupine/

Karyn Jessi Blue Bird-Mesteth was born on February 22, 1983 in Pine Ridge, SD to Belleron Blue Bird, Sr. and Eva Mesteth. Karyn made her journey to the Spirit World on September 4, 2021 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
Karyn is survived by her mother, Eva Mesteth; brothers, Belleron Blue Bird, Jr., Richard Blue Bird, and William Blue Bird; sisters, Terri Blue Bird and Belle Blue Bird; daughter, Keeva Good Crow; sons, Tyrecious Good Crow, Koytrell Good Crow, and Dyrekas Good Crow; grandmother, Georgia Tail; aunties, Ruth & Becky Cedar Face, Gloria No Neck, Erna Shepard, Karen Red Elk, Theresa Blue Bird, Carla Cheyenne, and Bonita Andrews; uncles, Donnie Mesteth, Sr., Bryan Blue Bird, Jr., Reggie Cedar Face, and Jim Cedar Face; grandpa, Eli Tail; nieces, Lynette Blue Bird, Lynsey Blue Bird, Kaylee Mesteth, Katerelle Two Eagle, Mercedes Long, and Kyelle Long; nephews, Sidney Long, Jr. and Bryan Blue Bird; and special friend, Edward Limberg.
Karyn was preceded in death by her father, Belleron Blue Bird, Sr.; grandparents, Theodora Tail and Bryan Blue Bird, and Matthew Mesteth, Sr.; uncles, Tyrone Mesteth, Sr., Matthew Mesteth, Jr., Jeff Tail, and Dean Andrews; aunties, Mona Mesteth and Darmalee Tail; brother, Kyle JC Mesteth; cousins, Tyrone “TJ” Mesteth, Jr., Lolita Mesteth, and Shilo Pourier; and sister, Emily Blue Bird.
