The Riverside Discovery Center is excited to announce the addition of Kathy Randall as Interim Executive Director of the RDC. Kathy brings a long history of management and success to the RDC. The RDC also holds a special place for her as her mother, Thordis Kleager, was a Docent (Volunteer) at the facility about 20 years ago.
Kathy stated, “I’m excited about being a part of the Riverside Discovery Center staff, even if for a short while. I’ve quickly learned the staff is hard working, knowledgeable, and very dedicated to the animals. We also have a Board that is just as dedicated to the improvement of the Discovery Center for the best future it can have. I’m thrilled to be able to use my talents to help the transition between Directors and give back to this special community that is my home.”
Andy Hayward, President of the RDC Board of Directors Stated, “We are very fortunate to have Kathy help us out during our search for an Executive Director. As soon as she stepped into the facility, she was focused on what she could do to help us improve and move forward successfully. I also want to state how thankful and appreciative The Board of Directors and myself are to the amazing staff at the RDC. They have gone above and beyond their duties during this transition.”
