Graveside services for 39-year old Kelli Blankenship are Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11:00 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD, with Pastor David Lays Bad officiating.

Kelli Bernadette Henry was born on September 4, 1983 in Rapid City, SD to Elmer Henry and Gertie Standing Bear. Kelli went to be with, Wakan Tankan and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 4, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Kelli graduated from Webster High School and continued her education at TCC. Kelli played various sports including volleyball, basketball and like her father and aunt, she shared a passion in running. 

She attended Victory Church and was involved in many plays and outreaches with the church alongside her children. 

Kelli loved being at the lake, watching football and attending her children’s events. She enjoyed cooking, BBQs and always enjoyed watching sports and spending holidays with family and friends. 

She was energetic, kind, and had a heart of gold. Her smile and laugh lit up any room she walked in and she always made anyone she was around feel close to her heart.

Kelli is survived by her children Kyle Morin (Daniel Morin), Gracie McIntosh (Anthony McIntosh), and Abigail Blankenship (David Blankenship); cherished sister Kimberly Henry; her very much loved nephews Nehemiah Shoulderblade, Mathias Shoulderblade, and Timothy Shoulderblade Jr ; Uncles and aunts Ed Cutgrass & Family, Clara Lays Bad; Steve & Billie Bear Eagle, Beverly Bear Eagle, Juliann Shot To Pieces; cousins Vanessa Shoulderblade, Windelyn Shoulderblade Jr, Timothy Shoulderblade, Renessa Shoulderblade, and Scott Shoulderblade, David (Ella) Lays Bad & Family, Darrell Lays Bad & Family, Mariam Lays Bad & Family, Gary (Yolanda) Lays Bad & Family, Randy Lays Bad, Clara One Feather & Family, Carol One Feather, Eloise One Feather, Mary Young Bear, Clara Whipple, Lillian Good Shield, and Vina Steele; and all Lays Bad and Fire Thunder Families in Oklahoma.

Kelli was welcomed Home by her parents Elmer and Gertie Henry; brother Jason Henry; cousins James Shoulderblade, Orlando Laysbad, and Everett Laysbad; uncles and aunts Windelyn and Bernadette Shoulderblade Sr, Robert Lays Bad, Dennis Lays Bad, Verdell Lays Bad, Annabelle Fire Thunder, and Emerson Blackfeet; Grandparents Percy and Sadie Henry, Ramsey Lays Bad, Francis Lays Bad, Everette Lays Bad, Radding Lays Bad, Zara “Christina” Lays Bad, Agnes Lays Bad, and Lara Winterford.

The family would like to express a special thank you to her dearest friends: Lindsay Bible, Tiffany VanZandt, Vanessa Rippe, Willie Seals and Amanda Birdshead.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Huddleston, David Lays Bad, Ranzel Lays Bad, Michael Lays Bad, Napoleon Lays Bad, and Ed Cutgrass.

All friends & family are considered honorary pallbearers.
