Visitation precedes the funeral from 11:00 – 1:00 at Joyner Hall in Pine Ridge.

Kiya Hoksila James G Slow Bear was born and passed away on June 14, 2023 at the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Kiya is survived by his mother Myra Slow Bear; brothers Quincy Slow Bear, Dominic Slow Bear, Kylo Brings Plenty, & Brandon Brings Plenty Jr; sisters Tkiya and Kaleb Slow Bear; grandmother Biloria Pulliam; grandfathers Ron Slow Bear Sr and William Pulliam; great-grandfathers Bill Pulliam and Pat Pulliam; great-grandmothers Lorraine Tracke and Louise Pulliam; aunt Kylynn Slow Bear; and uncles RJ Slow Bear, Jerome Slow Bear, Chance Pulliam, Jesse Pulliam, Nathan Tracke Jr, James Tracke, Izaiah Slow Bear, David Garcia, and Richard Garcia.
Kiya was preceded in death by his great-grandfather Phillip “Papa” Red Owl; great-great grandparents Vestana Two Lance and Paul & Nellie Red Owl; grandfather Nathan Tracke; grandmother Valarie Tracke; aunt Liberty Adams; and uncles Kaleb Dion Siers and Jonathan James Haas.
Pallbearers will be Dominic Slow Bear and Noah Slow Bear.
