Kroll Named RMAC Softball Player Of The Week

Mackenzi Kroll was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Week 10 Softball Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Kroll, a junior from Brighton, Colorado, hit five home runs last weekend against Adams State, helping the Eagles earn the first series shutout in school history.

Her five home runs in a series are the most in Chadron State history.

With a batting average of .750, the catcher had six hits, five being homers, nine RBI’s and six runs. Kroll drew three walks over the weekend.

During games one and two, Kroll had three home runs, all being solos.

On Saturday, Kroll had two three-run homers during game two. The first was in the bottom of the third inning, while the second was in the bottom of the fifth, giving CSC the 10-0 victory.

Kroll leads Chadron State with 24 RBI’s and eight home runs on the season.

She is the second softball player to earn RMAC weekly honors this season. Delaney Farnsworth won Pitcher of the Week in week five.
