Kyle Aaron Plenty Wounds “Cetan Luta” was born to Harlow and Sonya (Charging Thunder) Plenty Wounds on January 25, 1994 in Pine Ridge, SD.  Kyle made his journey to the Spirit World on November 25, 2023 at his home in Gordon, NE.

Kyle entered this world a baby brother to one older sister and yet was harassed by 6 sisters later.  He shared his birthday, to much of his dislike initially, with his younger sister Kylee – whom he spent a lot of time with in the end.

With the exception of Kylee, his special “twin” – though born years apart – and Annika, the baby of the family, he would practice his WWE moves on his siblings any chance he got, so the harassment was mutual.

Kyle loved all his siblings and was a very protective brother who offered to practice his WWE moves on anyone who wronged them as well.

When given the opportunity to cook, his favorite meal was goulash and spaghetti, which was actually pretty tasty.  He enjoyed being a dad, loved his children, and enjoyed spending time with them any chance he got.

Kyle loved his parents and knew that they sometimes had to show him “tough love”.  He was very close to his Uncle Dave Charging Thunder and Tony Running Hawk, with whom he made a lot of good memories.

He had a good sense of humor, was always making jokes, and could even laugh at himself when he was in the hot seat.

Kyle grew up in Gordon, NE, where he attended school.  He was very active and enjoyed playing sports – participating in basketball, track, and football for a short period.  He and his GRHS track team made it to State Track in the 400 relay which was memorable.

He graduated from Gordon-Rushville High School and worked at various jobs.  He enjoyed working construction and traveled to many states working with a roofing crew and enjoying life.  He worked at Dairy Queen for a while and really enjoyed working there because of the free ice cream!

Kyle was a very likable guy and made friends easily.  He made a lot of friends at “Wefest” the years that he attended and would love to tell stories about the friends and memories he made.  Though he didn’t typically listen to country music, he sure grew to appreciate it during that time!

Kyle left this world and all who loved him, tragically, on Nov 25, 2023 at his home.  He knew, as those closest to him knew, that his time was limited on this Earth and that he would not live long enough to see his children grow older.

He made the most of the time he had left and tried to enjoy it to the fullest spending time with his family and friends.

Kyle was preceded in death by his baby brother Michael Plenty Wounds; paternal grandparents Pete Sr & Dorothy (Fireplace) Plenty Wounds; maternal grandparents Virgil & Sandra (Ree) Charging Thunder; aunt Eileen Rutiaga; cousins Rekal Plenty Wounds and Tevin Plenty Wounds; close friends Leon Richards and Jimmy Lucero; and numerous other family members.
