Cremation to follow services

Lank Earl Thomas Jr was born on July 3, 1956 in Omaha, NE to Marvin Lank Thomas and Rebecca Lamont.  Lank made his journey to the Spirit World on December 27, 2022 at his home in Celina, TN.

Lank loved to run and be free. He enjoyed fishing and playing games with his friends and family, but was also an avid Jazz listener and enjoyed cooking – roasted peppers were his favorite.

Lank was our protector of the family; he loved his sons and was trying to make his way back to Colorado to meet up with them again along with his family and friends.

Lank held a special place in his mother’s heart – some would even call him her favorite – and his siblings all accepted that.  He had many stories that he told his children and family with his military history giving him quite a few war stories that he shared with his family.

Lank is survived by his brother John Hussman of South Dakota; sisters Sioux Lamont-Black, Hattie Marie (Henry) Ambers of Chicago, IL, Ollie Mae Thomas of Clinton, MD, Flora Lee Thomas of Sacramento, CA, Dorothy Pearl (Cloyce) Lacy of Bossier City, LA, and Deloris Louise Halfacre of Denver, CO; sons Christopher Earl Lamont-Thomas of Denver, CO, Nicolas Lamont-Thomas of Denver, CO, and Tyree Thomas of Centennial, CO; 22 grandchildren; aunts Alyce Lamont, Catherine Lamont-Hudson, and Louise Thomas-Brooks; uncle Frank Thomas; special friend Regina “Jeannie” Taylor, who was mother of his children Christopher Thomas, Nicolas Thomas, and Tyree Thomas; extended family members Anthony Jenkins of California and Mildred Sprinkles of Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lank was preceded in death by his mother Rebecca Lamont; father Marvin Lank Thomas, and brother Lynn Hussman.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Brown, Christopher Lamont-Thomas, Nicolas Lamont-Thomas, Tyree Lamont-Thomas, Cedric Taylor, Marvin Lank Stricklin, Johnny Martinez and Jimmy Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
