Funeral services for 51-year old Lawrence Running Hawk are Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11:00 at Joyner Hall in Pine Ridge, SD, with Apostle Pedro Sharpfish and Pastor Cyrus Black Elk officiating.
A one-night wake service will start at 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Joyner Hall in Pine Ridge, SD.
Burial is at the Holy Cross Episcopal Cemetery in Pine Ridge

Lawrence Clayton Running Hawk was born on July 16, 1971 in Pine Ridge, SD, to Floyd Running Hawk Sr and Abigail Yellow Boy. Lawrence made his journey to the Spirit World on March 8, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Lawrence is survived by his father Floyd (Lorita) Running Hawk Sr; sisters Roberta Yellow Boy, April Nelson, Rexanne Holy Dance, Helen Holy Dance, Maxine Janis, and Mayonne Lakota; brothers Russell Running Hawk, Donald Running Hawk, Dennis Running Hawk, and Robert Iron Cloud; adopted sister Marlene Bear Stops; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his mother Abigail Yellow Boy; sisters Wanda Yellow Boy and Karen Walking; brothers Lloyd Running Hawk, Alexander Running Hawk, and John Adams; aunt Florence Little Brave; and grandparents Adolf and Lucy Yellow Boy.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Janis, Hermis Janis, Jesse Whalen, Alexander Yellow Boy, Tanner Running Hawk, Russell Running Hawk Jr, Waylon Lamont, and Kellie T. Walking Eagle.
