The NE Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Nebraska, a prestigious statewide initiative aimed at empowering individuals to make substantial contributions to the prosperity of their communities and the state, is currently accepting applications.

As Leadership Nebraska embarks on its sixteenth year, it continues its mission of cultivating well-informed leaders eager to dive into Nebraska’s pressing issues, identify solutions, and assume roles of greater influence. Participants in this program are carefully chosen from across the state, bringing diverse backgrounds and talents. Prospective participants are expected to demonstrate prior community and professional leadership involvement, coupled with a deep commitment to Nebraska’s future.

The year-long program consists of six sessions, each of which lasts two and a half days. The sessions cover a broad range of key Nebraska issues – such as economic development, health care, education, agriculture, government, workforce and policy.

“The caliber of leaders in our communities and state is paramount for Nebraska’s prosperity, in attracting talent, new residents, employers, and exploring new markets,” emphasized Bryan Slone, President of the NE Chamber. “Leadership Nebraska serves as a cornerstone in fostering and connecting our current generation of exceptional leaders.”

To qualify for a discounted tuition rate, applications must be submitted to the NE Chamber by April 1, 2024, and can be conveniently completed online. Any applications received between April 2nd and May 1st, 2024 will incur full tuition charges.

Leadership Nebraska’s next class will begin with an orientation retreat in August at Lied Lodge in Nebraska City. Other sessions will be held in September, October, November, January and February. A commencement ceremony will be held in Lincoln in February 2025. The application form and all session dates are posted at www.leadershipnebraska.com.
