Leland Gene Featherman was born on June 4, 1971 in Pine Ridge, SD to Everette Featherman and Theresa (One Horn) Featherman. Leland made his journey to the Spirit World on July 26, 2023 at the Avantara Milbank Nursing Home in Milbank, SD
Leland is survived by his daughters Leann (Jordan) Featherman of Rapid City, SD and Leighanna (Julian) Featherman of Porcupine, SD; granddaughter Jaleah Spotted Eagle of Rapid City; his twin sister Linda Featherman of Rapid City; sisters Devonna (Charles) Good Voice Elk of Potato Creek, SD, Vicky Brown Bull, Ardean Featherman, and Roberta Featherman, all of Kyle; brother Terry Featherman; aunts Emma Featherman-Sam, Steven & Shirley Murphy, Betty Bull Bear, Cecelia Fire Thunder, Cheryl Mesteth, Ruby, Faye, and Marlene Takes War Bonnet, Carmelita One Horn, Millie Black Bear, and Linda Bull Bear; step-daughters Darcy, Danelle “Dar” & Desirae McBride, all of Rapid City, SD; and grandchildren Terell, Rhiannon, Kaitlyn, Isaiah, Bryer, and Taylin, all of Rapid City.
Leland was preceded in death by his parents Everette Featherman and Theresa (One Horn) Featherman; brothers Melvin Featherman and Lyle Featherman; grandparents Lucy & Sam Kills In Water and John & Stella (Black Bear) Featherman; aunts Pearl Monroe, Georgiana Has No Horse, Olivia One Horn, and Effie Kills In Water; nephew Marlin Featherman; nieces Danielle Good Voice Elk and Jerilyn Old Horse; and cousin Edwin Kills In Water.
