Leon Carl Eagle, Sr. was born on November 30, 1956 in Pine Ridge, SD to Louis Eagle and Doris Janis.  Leon made his journey to the Spirit World on December 29, 2024 at his home in Pine Ridge, SD. 

Leon attended Pine Ridge Oglala Community School, then on to Western Dakota Tech where he received his diploma in Automotives. Leonโ€™s greatest joy was taking care of his grandchildren and spoiling them. They were his pride and joy. He loved the simple things in life, tinkering with cars, and playing with the kids. He loved his children dearly.

Leon is survived by his loving spouse, Beverly (Two Lance) Eagle; sisters, Darla & her children, Dorothy & her children, and Carol Ann Black Feather; brother, Darrel & his children; son, Leon, Jr.; daughters, Whitnee, Doris, Emily, Belinda, Belnita, Alberta, and Marceline; maternal great grandmother, Mary Merrival; grandchildren, Cody Martin, Daniel Martin, Jason Tyon, Jasmin Tyon, Kobe Two Lance, Kadeem Peltier, Kaleigha Peltier, Alexus Little Bear, Richard Little Bear, Antwan Red Cloud, Rayleigh Red Cloud, Jalen Red Cloud, Julius Red Cloud, Wanbli Ska Red Cloud, Wicahpi Hoksila Red Cloud, Mariah Bravo, Hailey Bravo, Samuel Bravo, Jr., Arianna Eagle, Alessandra Eagle, Amanda Eagle, Alanna Eagle, Franklin Eagle, Jr., Colleen Eagle, Lillian Eagle, Legen Eagle, Tony Eagle; and great grandbabies, Demetrius Martin, Jiovanni Martin, Baby Girl, Collins Martin, Skye Two Bulls, Lewis Two Bulls, and Jhacie Two Bulls.

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Louis Eagle; mother, Doris Janis; maternal grandmother, Glady Spotted Bear; paternal grandfather, Oliver Janis, Sr.; brothers, Richard Eagle, James (Jimmy) Eagle; uncles, Oliver Janis, Jr., Kenneth Janis, and Calvin Janis; nephew, Darrel Eagle, Jr.; great grandchildren, Andre Dion Red Cloud; and nephews, Justin, Theo, and Renzole.

Pallbearers will be Joe Red Star, Kenyan Pulliam, Antwan Red Cloud, Dante Bravo, Cody Martin, Sam Bravo, Sr., Terry Two Lance, Elgin Young Bear, Tone Brewer, Sr., and John Wilson.
