Memorial services for 75-year old Linda Staudenmaier of Harrison, NE, are Saturday, Oct 15, 2022 at 10:00 at the Harrison Bible Church in Harrison.

There will be a lunch after the service, followed by a joint burial at the Montrose Cemetery for Linda and her late husband Jim, who died on New Year’s Day 2021.

Linda Darnyll Staudenmaier was born on December 23 1946 in Lusk WY, the daughter of Elvin & Frances (Locker) Nation.  

Linda had two younger sisters, Melody Nation and Eldonna Nation. After Linda and Melody graduated from Sioux County High School, the family moved in 1966 to Marysville, WA.

Linda got her Associates Degree in Business from Everett Community College, then worked at different jobs until she moved back to Nebraska in the summer of 1970. She worked that summer putting up hay for Bill Coffee. 

Linda moved to Crawford that fall and worked for Marv and Ruby Rising, waiting tables and tending bar. While waiting tables at the cafe, she met the love of her life – James Staudenmaier.

Jim and Linda were married February 6, 1971.  To this union were born three boys: Justin Earl, Lyle Dean and Charles Elvin. Charles died in infancy.

Linda was an EMT for the Harrison Volunteer Fire Department and was an active member of the Harrison community. She loved going to watch the Sioux County Warriors.  Linda worked at several restaurants and cafes, and never knew a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, parents Elvin and Frances, son Charles, and sister Melody   

Linda is survived by her sons Justin (Deona) of Harrison and Lyle (Heather) of Hemingford, NE.  Grandchildren Casey (Mckenzie), Morgan (Kasey), Braden and Aspen.  Great-grandchildren Riata, Stockton and Josephine. sister Eldonna Nation, brother-in-law Steve Fernandez, and many nephews and nieces.
