Linn Cross Dog, Jr. was born on August 11, 1968 in Pine Ridge, SD to Linn Cross Dog, Sr. and Henrietta (Tobacco) Cross Dog. Linn made his journey to the Spirit World on February 1, 2025 at his home near Pine Ridge, SD.
Linn “John” Cross Dog graduated from Red Cloud Indian School in 1987. He attended the Kicking Horse Job Corp from 1989 to 1991. He lived in Hot Springs, SD, Wisconsin Dells, Red Wing, MN & Sioux Falls, SD and worked at the Ho Chunk Casino, Walmart in Sioux Falls, SD, Red Wing, MN, and Baraboo, WI.
Linn loved riding his 1990 lowrider Harley Davidson, he also has a 1979 shovelhead, he drove a 1978 black short box Chevy truck in high school. His favorite drink was Jack Daniels. He loved riding his Harley with his bro, Mr. Ed. He would attend the Sturgis Rally and every year he went he would go to the One-Eyed Jacks just to get kicked out cause he wore his Support 81.
Linn is survived by his sisters, Mona Cross Dog, Sue Cross Dog, and Charlie Two Bulls; brothers, Sam Long, Corey Tobacco, Ed Morrison, and Billy T. from Milwaukee; sons, Harley Cross Dog, Linn Jacob Cross Dog III “Yamni”, and Dallas Englert; daughters, Kendra Orr and Savannah Englert; grandchildren, Kyson, Tyson, Tavon, & Tavin Cross Dog, Abel, Elijah, & Ezray Cross Dog, Peyton Eagle Louse, Baby Morgan, & Cowboy Bud Nava, Jessah, Lillith & Aubree Bagola, Apaulo Nava, Crislyn Two Dogs; nephews, Sonny Cross Dog, Kaden Yellow Horse, Christopher Two Dogs, Morgan & Cruz Nava; and nieces, Megan Two Dogs, Henrietta Nava, Tracie & Kiaya Cross Dog.
Linn was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta (Tobacco) Cross Dog; father, Linn Cross Dog, Sr.; grandparents, Vincent & Irene Tobacco, Dave, Sr. & Ramona Long; favorite uncles, Darrell “Timps” Tobacco, Milton & John Cross Dog, & Mitchell Long; grandchildren, Kenny Two Dogs, Baby Bagola, Baby Nava-Garnette, Cowboy Roses Nava; and best friend, Dave Brings Plenty, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Edward Morrison, Anthony Backward, Charlie Janis, Sr., Cruz Nava, Sonny Cross Dog, Kaden Yellow Horse, Morgan Nava, Christoper Two Dogs, Kyson Cross Dog, Tyson Cross Dog, Tavon Cross Dog, and Tavin Cross Dog.
