Louis James Jealous, Jr. was born on October 6, 1979 in Pine Ridge, SD to Louis Jealous, Sr. and Marlita Bald Eagle.

Louis made his journey to the Spirit World on July 15, 2024 at the North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton, CO.

Louis, also know as โ€œJr.โ€, while growing up had many hobbies like skateboarding, basketball, football, and playing with his cousins. Then he got introduced to horses by his cousin (brother), Jason Brave Heart. That became his passion as a young boy. They would always be out tending to horses and riding around great โ€œunci Adaโ€™sโ€ house.

Throughout his older years, he learned to work on cars so he liked to mechanic. Louis was always helping wherever he could, he liked helping his family when he was able to. Jr was a friendly person, he enjoyed meeting new people during his years of life. He was a very friendly person with a compassionate heart. He always thought of others before himself. He was a comical person; he knew how to turn a frown upside down when he knew you were feeling down.

He made you laugh and made sure you were feeling okay. Laughter was his medicine. Louis was an organ and tissue donor at the end of his life, even at the end of his time he thought of others.

Louis went to join his twin boys who he named Andy and Bobby Jealous.

Louis is survived by his mother, Marlita Bald Eagle; his step-โ€œpopsโ€, Ronald Chavez, Sr. both of Denver, CO; his father, Louis Jealous of Him, Sr. of Porcupine, SD; siblings, Yvette Jealous, Anyna Big Road, Stephanie Ghost, Sam Jealous, Jose Ramirez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX, and Jason Brave Heart of Santa Monica, CA; grandchildren, Julian Colhoff, Nolan Jealous, Lenora Jealous, and Cassius Jealous; and his nieces and nephews, Keauna Jealous, Angelita Jealous, Bethany Little, Audrey Jane, Catherine Olivia Ramirez, Elizabeth Chee, Lewis Jealous, DeWayne Big Road, Moses Brave Heart, Asher Chee, Darius Chee, Jacoby Ramirez, Cole Jealous of Him, Daunte Jealous of Him, Frank Little, and Alan Jealous.

Louis was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Jealous; maternal grandparents, Bertha Brave Heart and Emil Beautiful Bald Eagle; paternal grandparents, Bessie Rock and Louie Jealous of Him; aunts, Darlene Two Two and Sally Bald Eagle; and nephew, Alex Jealous.

Pallbearers are Moses Brave Heart, Alan Jealous, Sam Jealous, Eric Conroy, Jose Ramirez, Jr., Jason Brave Heart, Robert Two Dogs, Jr., Jon Cole Clifford, Oglala Clifford, Waylon Jealous, Jeff Good Crow, and Andre Mills.

A one night wake service for Louis James Jealous Jr. starts at 2 on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Porcupine School Gymnasium in Porcupine.

Funeral service is 1 on Saturday July 27, at the Porcupine School Gym with Minister Cyrus Black Elk and Pastor Bill Quijas officiating.

Graveside services are at the Body of Christ Cemetery in Porcupine, SD
