Burial is at St Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Manderson.
A one-night wake service starts Friday, Feb 24, at 2:30 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderso with evening services at 7:00.

Luanne Steele was born on Jan 12, 1958 to William “Josh” Asay Steele and Margaret (Cottier) Steele. Luanne made her journey to the Spirit World on Feb 14, 2023 at the Monument Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City, SD.
Luanne is survived by her children Jesse (Raven) Grass, Kelly (Donna) Grass, Margaret (Jon) Steele, and Mamie Steele; brothers John Steele, Harold Long Soldier, and Aldon Steele; sisters Fern Apple and Aldean Scott; grandchildren Bella Tall, Amelia Red Feather-Grass, Stephen Tall, Richard Tall Jr, Alena Garnette, Forrest Grass, Jesse Grass Jr, Julius Ross, Koda Grass, and Flint (Georgie) Tall-Grass; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Luanne was preceded in death by her parents William “Josh” Asa Steele and Margaret (Cottier) Steele; brothers Timothy “Rabb” Steele, Duane “Buzz” Steele, Franklin Steele, and Mark “Pepsi” Long Soldier; spouse Brian Kelly Grass; granddaughter Lexi Steele; and nephew Duane Steele.
Pallbearers will be Richard Tall, Justin LaPointe, Clint Ten Fingers, Dwayne Chase Alone, Tristan Twiss, Frank Cottier, William Steele, Adam Steele, Eldwin Steele, and Levi Apple
