Burial is at St Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Pine Ridge
A one-night wake service starts Friday, May 6, at 2:00 at the Wolf Creek School Gymnasium.
Lucille Elaine “Lucy” Bettelyoun was born on September 30, 1956 in Pine Ridge, SD to George William Bettelyoun and Thelma Marie (Big Crow) Bettelyoun. Lucy made her journey to the Spirit World on April 27, 2022 at her home in Rapid City, SD.
Lucy is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth “Co” Twiss, Ike Bettelyoun, Philip Bettelyoun, Jesse “JL” Trueblood, Ray (Chelsey) Rowland, and Terry Albers; adopted mother, Lindy Trueblood; and numerous nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma (Big Crow) Bettelyoun; siblings, Fred “Fluff” Bettelyoun, George “Willie” Bettelyoun, Leon “Moss” Bettelyoun, Gloria “Diamond G” Bettelyoun, Kathy Richards, Fred A. Pond, Calvin “Sonny Hound” Patton, Wallace “Grease” Big Crow, and Earl Vermillion; grandparents, Raymond Big Crow, Theresa Garcia, Fred Bettelyoun, and Lizzie Ruff.
Pallbearers will be Lyle “Chip” Richards, Jr., Roger Bettelyoun, Jeffrey Twiss, Kelcey Twiss, William “Will Du” Brewer, Jason Bettelyoun, Samuel Trueblood, Jesse Trueblood, Trevor Bettelyoun, Kasey Miller, Wes “BeBop” Bettelyoun, James Stone, and Leo “Third” Headley.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
