Memorial services for 2 months 26 days old Luna Matzke are Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00 at the Mother Butler Center in Rapid City, SD, with Pastor Sonja Pilman officiating.
Burial follows at 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City.
Luna Winyan Chase Matzke was born on March 8, 2022 in Rapid City, SD to Nicholas Allen and Danelle Marie (Horton) Matzke. Luna made her journey to the Spirit World on June 4, 2022 at the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Luna is survived by her parents, Nicholas and Danelle Matzke; brother, Xavier Roland Matzke; grandparents, Monica Nightchase, Tina Wigton, and Hugo Barrientiose; aunts, Maria Brunner, Charlene Lamont, Olivia Brunner, Vivian Permann, Shonta Permann, Fona Permann, Rhianna Barrientiose, Rhianan Barrientiose, and Justin “Raven” Horton; uncles, Roman Barrientiose, Saxon Barrientiose, David Tristan Permann, Steven Permann, Dennis, and James Coats; and numerous cousins.
Luna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarissa Red Shirt and John Peterson; great grandparents, Darwin and Dorothy Coats; and uncles, Ronnie Matzke and Butch Coats.
Urn bearers will be her parents, Nicholas and Danelle Matzke.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
