Funeral Services for 45-year old Lyle Mousseau are Friday, March 1, 2024 at 10:00 at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Porcupine, SD, with Father Peter Klink, SJ. and Deacon Bill White
Burial is at St Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine, SD with a meal to follow at Father Bill Pauly Hall in Porcupine, SD.
Lyle Theodore Mousseau “Wanbli Unkokasapi” (Eagle That Circles Above Us) was born on Nov 16, 1978 in Pine Ridge, SD to John Theodore Mousseau and Vera Jane (Reynolds) Mousseau. Lyle made his journey to the Spirit World on February 24, 2024.
Lyle attained his GED and received his Associates of Applied Arts in Electrical Technology from Oglala Lakota College. He was a comical and fun-loving man who always greeted everyone with a smile and some honest, off the wall, commentary.
He was always ready to lend a helping hand or give a 20 second therapeutic hug to anyone who needed it. Lyle was one of a kind and he sincerely loved his children, his family, and his friends.
Lyle is survived by his son Chaske Black Bear; His children Jacinda, Isabella, Addison, and Winston Mousseau; and their mother Lisa Titus. He is also survived by his sister Alicia (Tasha) Mousseau; his brothers John & Elijah Jackson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents John and Vera (Reynolds) Mousseau; his grandparents James and Lena (Boyer) Mousseau; and his brother Leonard Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & relatives.
