Memorial Services for 93-year old Mae Rose Jones of Chadron, NE, are Friday August 4th, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron.
Visitation is Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 at Chamberlain Chapel.Â

Mae Rose Jones was born on May 20, 1930, to William and Helen (McMillan) Wabs. She was called home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Chadron Community Hospital.
Mae grew up in rural Holt County near Spencer, NE. She moved to Chadron with her first husband George True in her early 20s. After George passed, she met and married LeRoy Jones and to this union were born daughters Sherrie and Sherl.
Mae worked for Byerly’s Cabins and did various housecleaning jobs throughout her life. She loved spending time with her family, laughing and playing ball, and enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers.
She loved her cats and Buddy, her daughters’ dog, but most of all she loved to vacuum. A day didn’t go by that she wasn’t seen with a vacuum in her hand.Mae always greeted you with a smile on her face. She was a loving, caring person, a devoted wife, mother and friend. To know her was to love her.
Mae is survived by her daughters Sherrie and Sherl (Milan) Bosch and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents William and Helen Wabs; her husbands George True and LeRoy Jones; her brothers Carl, Marvin, Edwin, Clyde, and Rudy Wabs; and her sister Adalene Hill.
