According to the Fall River County Herald Star, a man living in the Igloo bunker community of Terravivos, roughly 12 miles south of Edgemont, SD was arrested on August 23rd for shooting another man who, as of August 26th was hospitalized but in stable condition.
The Fall River County Sheriff’s Office and the Edgemont Ambulance Service were both called to the scene where they arrested 51 year old David Streeter on assault charges. Streeter has since been released on bail and is awaiting a hearing in the Fall River County Court circuit.
Fall River County’s Attorney, Lance Russell confirmed the shooting on Monday, August 26th and said that a third man was involved who was allegedly physically assaulted by Streeter but not shot.
Streeter claims self defense was necessary against both victims, whose names are being withheld at this time.
The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation is still leading the investigation. According to Russell more details will be released after the initial hearing.
