The Chadron Police Department made an arrest on Sunday following a report of a theft at Safeway.
Chadron Police Chief Rick Hickstein says a male fitting the description of the shoplifter was apprehended just before noon on Sunday on the 400 block of North Main Street.
The investigation that followed revealed an arrest warrant from Hooker County for charges of speeding, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and failure to appear in court.
According to Lieutenant Gabe Walz, 30 year old Alan Yellow Horse has a local charge of alleged shoplifting from Safeway and is booked at Dawes County Jail and will soon be extradited back to Hooker County jurisdiction.
