Memorial services for 54-year old Manuel Hatchett are Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 1-5:00 PM at the Woyatan Sanctuary Chapel, 522 Anamosa Street, Rapid City, SD 

A supper will be served. 

Manuel’s ashes will be scattered along Rapid Creek at a later date. 

Manuel Warren Hatchett was born on September 1, 1968 in Rapid City SD to Christopher Hatchett Sr and Verlean E Ice. Manuel made his journey to the Spirit World on December 12, 2022 at the Denver Health Medical Center in Denver CO. 

Manuel is survived by his adopted son Nick White Bull; sisters Bernadine Butcher of Sioux Falls, SD and Sandra Fire Lightning of Rapid City, SD; brothers Gerard R Kills Enemy of Box Elder, SD, Joseph Hatchett of Sioux Falls, SD, and Paul Hetts of Iowa; and paternal aunts Christine Hollow Horn and Freda Wounded Horse both of Wounded Knee, SD. 

Surviving Family Members include Gerald Ice, Wilma Kills in Water, Mary Felicia, Yvonne Chase In Winter, Donavon Chase In Winter, Craig Chase In Winter, Thurman Horse, Jennifer Rowland, Mona & Rena Rowland, Juanita Lucio, Michael Lucio, Donnalyn Snider, Sheila Hunts Horse, Adrienne Young Bear, Melvin & Gwen Young Bear, Severt Young Bear Jr, Dorothy Rowland, Andrew & Lorelei Antone, Lariah High Hawk, CJ Hatchett, Joyce White Butterfly, and others too numerous to name.

Manuel was preceded in death by his father Christopher Hatchett Sr; mother Verlean E Ice; siblings James A Kills Enemy, Chris Hatchett Jr, Mona L Hatchett, Cheryl R Hatchett, and Kristen L Antone-Hatchett; nephews Julio Jesus Chavez and Josh C Hatchett; and common-law wife Aggie White Bull. 

Manuel’s many friends include: Chris & Tarah White Eagle, Priscilla & Lavonne Roach, Darrell Two Crow, John Elk boy, Quentin Long Solider, Anthony Quick Bear, Matt Quick Bear, George Janis, Sissy Janis, Joy Beard, Jarrett Big Crow, Kevin Eagle Tail, Fred Eagle Tail, Mike Quick Bear, Jeff Quick Bear, Robby High Bear Jr, Chris Andrews, Lynn Two Eagle, Austin Black Crow, Byron Roach, George Stevenson, Jerome Dillon, Vernon Yankton, Rodney Dismounts, Benny Dismounts, Randy Dismounts and Blue Useful Heart. 

Special Mention goes to Lovey Fire Lightning, Keegan Early, Carla Respects Nothing, Drew Gai, Natalie Hayes, and the Avalon Apt Mgr, who cared for Manuel during the last days and months of his life.
