Manuella Delora Contreras-Caravio was born on January 23, 1994 in Tacoma, WA to Gladys Roan Eagle. Manuella made her journey to the Spirit World on November 17, 2024 in Denver, CO.
First Name Woman โChah-Zjay Do-Kah-Hayโ, given to her by her maternal great grandmother, Annie Fineran during great -grandfather, John Around Him Sundance.
Manuella was placed with her maternal grandmother, Virginia Young Dog Irving and grandfather, Wendell Irving by ICWA in Denver, CO. She was 11 months old and grew up the youngest of 10 children. Her aunties became her sisters, her uncles became her brothers, her grandfather her dad, and her grandmother, mom.
Everyone had a hand in watching her grow up and babysitting her too. She used to get teased about businesses closing down after she passed through them. Like on her flight to Stapleton Airport from Tacoma, WA was the last one before it closed down forever or the middle school she continued from closed down forever. She then graduated from a brand new high school in Westminster, CO in 2012.
Manuella is survived by her children, Abraham W. Maldonado and Xiomara Maldonado; sister, Maria Caravio; brothers, Julian Roan Eagle, Arturo and Terrance Dominguez; grandmothers, Virginia Irving, Nora Gallis, Angie Roan Eagle and Nancy Rouillard; aunts, Bernadette Roan Eagle, Latoya Gonzalez, Francelia Little John, Crystal Roan Eagle, and Erica Irving; uncles, Roger and Travis Roan Eagle, Dion Whalen, Quentin Whalen, and Travis Irving; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Manuella was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys โRosieโ Fern Roan Eagle; maternal grandparents, Irene Young Dog and Roger Roan Eagle, Sr.; aunts, Angel Young Dog, Anna Mae Roan Eagle, Cynthia Rouillard, Paula Rouillard, Emma Roan Eagle, Jennie Oocumma, and Kina Young Dog; uncle, Michael Young Dog, Leslie Young Dog, and Lonnie Shields; grandparents, Verdell, Lester, Seymore, and Gary Young Dog, and Wendell Irving; great grandmother, Dora Around Him; and great grandfather, Amos Young Dog, Sr.
