Marlin Wayne Charles Turning Hawk “Taopi Cikala”was born on October 21, 1974 in Pine Ridge, SD to Cordelia (Turning Hawk) Old Horse. Marlin made his journey to the Spirit World on April 2, 2023 at his home in Kyle, SD.
Marlin Is survived by his mother Cordelia (Turning Hawk) Old Horse; son Tyson Eagle Heart; stepdaughters Annabelle Watkins and Dianna Watkins; stepsons James Watkins and Brandon Watkins; siblings Verlin (Eileen) Old Horse, Jonas Old Horse, Jason (TJ) Old Horse, Sonny Old Horse, Emma Old Horse, Asay (Alex) Old Horse, Rose Old Horse and John Brown Bull, all of Kyle, SD; cousins Denise (Edwin) Harris, Charles Phillip (Marla) Poor Bear, Janet (Elliot) Harris and Amy Poor Bear (Charles Clifford); and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Marlin was preceded in death by his wife Grace Matsamas; brother Jonas Old Horse; maternal grandparents Asay & Emma (Broken Leg) Turning Hawk; aunt Donna Turning Hawk; and cousin Janelle One Horn.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Martinez, Shawn Loafer, Darrol Little Whiteman, Jaimie Mesteth, Darrell Brown Bull and Jared Old Horse.
Honorary pallbearers will be Class of 1994 Little Wound High School Alumni and All Friends & Relatives.
