Burial is at the Walking-White Dress Family Cemetery at Cheyenne Creek in Pine Ridge.
A two-night wake service is planned with the first night starting Thursday, Nov 30, at 11:00 AM at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD. The second night begins Fri, Dec 1, at 2:00 at the Pine Ridge Middle School Gymnasium.

Mary Katherine Walking “Tiopa Luta Win” was born on July 8, 1972 in Pine Ridge, SD to Richard Walking Sr and Lula Mae (Red Feather) Walking. Mary made her journey to the Spirit World on November 19, 2023 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Mary is survived by her mother Lula Mae Walking; daughter Taneesha Good Lance; sons Bryan Walking Sr, and Trey Walking; grandchildren Arian Walking, Bryan Walking Jr, Jordan Ecoffey, and Payton Ecoffey; sisters Linda McClung and Katie Returns From Scout; brothers Darrell Walking, Stanley Walking Sr, Tony Walking, Joey Walking, Cyrus Walking, Richard Walking Jr, Larry Walking, and Cody Walking; grandmother Mary Merrival; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents Flint Red Feather, Katherine (Janis) Red Feather, and Katie Walking; father Richard Walking Sr; brothers Lester Walking Sr and Paul Walking; niece Ashley Returns From Scout; nephew Michael Walking; and aunt Peggy White Dress.
