Put your fall leaves and grass clippings to good use by adding them to landscape beds and garden areas. Make sure the grass clippings have not had chemicals applied to them. Over the winter the leaves and grass clippings will break down into a rich, organic compost that will improve the quality of the soil. It will help to hold moisture through the winter and can even improve compaction over time with the continual addition of organic matter to the soil profile.ย
