It was an eventful weekend for tourists and passersbys at Fort Robinson State Park this past weekend to celebrate National Airborne Day. The Nebraska National Guard presented several pieces of military equipment, including their CH-47 Chinook that flew over Chadron late last week.
The demonstration also included an airborne infantry training drill where the 2-134th Airborne Infantry leaped out of their flying aircrafts and made a safe touchdown at the State Park. It was the first jump in the Fort Robinson Area since 1943.
