Miss Hub City’s Teen Takes SD Crown

      Miss Hub City’s Teen Briley Steffensen of Harrisburg is the new Miss South Dakota’s Teen.

The 17-year old from Harrisburg was crowned Friday in Brookings. Her talent was a musical theater dance while her community service initiative is “Be True 2 You.”

      18-year old Miss Rolling Plains Teen Amelie Wilcox of Rapid City was 1st-runner up with Miss Siouxlands, 16-year old Teen Evian Johnson of Brookings, 2nd-runner up.

       17-year old Taya Ritterbush of Hot Springs, Miss Rushmore’s Teen, was 3rd-runner up with 16-year old Miss Rapid City’s Teen Arianna Galles of Rapid City the 4th-runner. There 13 young women vying for the Miss South Dakota’s Teen title.

     The 77th Miss South Dakota will be crowned tonight with 20-year old Miss Rolling Prairies Joelle Simpson of Rapid City the apparent front-runner.

      Simpson followed up her Thursday night win in Talent by taking the Delta group’s Health and Fitness Award last night.

     There was a tie for last night’s Talent award in the Sigma group between two contestants from Sioux Falls,  25-year old Miss State Fair Emily Deinken of Sioux Falls and 20-year old Miss Huron Julia Stanek, also of Sioux Falls

    19-year old Miss Hot Springs Sydney Morgan of Hot Springs was the fitness winner for the Sigma group on Thursday.

     The final round of competition and the crowning of the new Miss South Dakota starts tonight at 5:30 MT with a pay-per-view livestream available.
