Misty Renee Shott-Red Bear was born on September 11, 1977 in Gordon, NE to Carl Shott and Tonya Crooked Eyes. Misty made her journey to the Spirit World on September 9, 2023 at the IHS hospital in Pine Ridge, SD.
Misty is survived by her daughter, Carletta Shott; sons, Pete Shott and Francis Shott; husband, Richard Red Bear; and grandchildren, Avery Shott, Stella Shott, and Calvin Shott.
Misty was preceded in death by her mother, Tonya Crooked Eyes; stepmother, Ramona Ghost; uncles, Irving Jumping Eagle, Donroy Jumping Eagle, and Seth Gibbons; niece, Angel Jumping Eagle; nephews, Andre Janis and Carl Janis; grandmother, Irene Jumping Eagle; and cousin, Arlana Stands.
Pallbearers will be Shane Jumping Eagle, Rico Iron Bear, Frank Ghost, Alicia Iron Bear, Oyate Rondeaux, Ramone Ghost, Wanbli Jumping Eagle, and Maurice Jumping Eagle.
