The Monument Valley Iris Society will host a meeting on March 19 at the UNL Panhandle Research Extension & Education Center in Scottsbluff.

The guest speaker will be Leann Sato, City of Scottsbluff Stormwater Specialist and Floodplain Manager. Tri-City Stormwater regards education as the most effective solution to reducing stormwater pollution and believes the individual possesses the most power to actively pursue stormwater management and its inherent issues of pollution prevention, water quality, and sustainable living practices. Sato spearheads the Tri-City Stormwater Partnership, which is comprised of Scottsbluff, Gering, and Terrytown.

The public is invited to the meeting on Tuesday, March 19, at 5:30 p.m. Sato will discuss “How you can help, helping from home: easy tips to keep our waters clean.” The informational presentation will inform residents how to take active roles in stormwater management, beginning with their homes.
