The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has published a special weather statement advising of low air quality in the Panhandle.
According to the statement, “Smoke from several wildfires in northeast Wyoming has lead to degraded air quality for much of Wyoming along and east of I-25 and in the far western Nebraska panhandle. If possible, minimize strenuous activity and avoid prolonged exposure to these poor air quality conditions.”
Smoke conditions may extend as far south as Kimball county and as far north as Fall River county in South Dakota.
