Scottsbluff police say a motorcyclist was killed about 12:30 Tuesday afternoon when his bike collided with an SUV on the north side of Scottsbluff at the intersection of Hwy 26 and East 27th Street.
Although 32-year old Darrius Davis of Gering has been identified as the man who died, authorities have not released any details of the crash.
Scottsbluff Police Captain Lance Kite says when officers arrived at the scene of the collision, they found Davis was not breathing and did not have a pulse.
Lifesaving measures were begun by First Responders from the Scottsbluff Fire Department and Regional West Ambulance Services, as well as a registered nurse who stopped to assist.
Captain Kile says those measures were not successful in reviving Davis and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV reported no injuries.
Kile says the case has been assigned to one of his department’s Certified Accident Reconstructionists, who worked throughout the afternoon.
