Memorial services were held in June in Westminster, CO, for 69-year old Nadine (Kampfe) Pollard of Westminster, a Chadron High School and Chadron State College graduate,

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.olingerhighland.com.

Nadine K Pollard was born on April 21, 1953, in Roswell, NM to the late Paul and Elinor (Schmidt) Kampfe, and passed away June 15th, 2022, in Denver, CO.

Nadine graduated from Chadron High School and received her bachelor’s degree in music education from Chadron State College. She was married to Randy Pollard from 1974-1983, with whom she had two children, Brandon and Ryan.

Nadine worked as a school music teacher for several years in Nebraska, then moved to the north metro Denver area in 1984. She left education and worked with 2 staffing agencies, Office Placement Services and Corestaff Service, before returning to education the last 5 years of her life as a paraeducator in the Westminster Public Schools.

Nadine never fully left teaching and certainly not music. She taught piano and voice lessons to hundreds of young students in the Denver area for over 35 years. She was also an active member of Highland Baptist Church as an integral member of the church’s worship team, playing piano and singing for many years.

Nadine enjoyed watching her sons’ sporting events from kindergarten through college, biking the paths in and around her home in Westminster, birthday celebrations and family dinners (always with dessert, of course!), BBQs in the summer, and all the time she could get with her grandchildren.

She lived frugally and simply, keeping the cleanest of houses and taking pride in her beautiful yard and the soft green lawn her family ran and rolled and laughed in.

Nadine is survived by her sons Brandon Pollard and Ryan (Erin) Pollard; siblings Paula Encinas, Ron Kampfe and Robert Kampfe; and granddaughters Esme, Mikayla, Cate and Sienna.
