A 68-year-old man died in a single vehicle motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon two miles south of Deadwood, SD.
Preliminary crash information indicates Larry Vincent Koneczny from Piedmont, SD, the driver of a 2001 Harley Davidson, was traveling north on US 385 near mile marker 120. Koneczny failed to negotiate the curve and went off the road to the right. The vehicle tripped and rolled, separating the driver from the motorcycle. Koneczny passed away from his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
