Names Released In Fatal Crash Near Sturgis

      The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released names from a 2-vehicle accident late Monday morning just north of Sturgis that claimed one life.

     29-year old Ethan Reasy of Andover, SD, was killed about 11:30 Monday morning when his small car crossed the centerline on Hwy 79 near Sturgis and collided with an oncoming semi..

       The Patrol says the accident occurred about 2-miles north of the Full Throttle Saloon. The truck driver, 56-year old Vernon Kuntz of Dickinson, ND, hit his brakes and steered into a ditch trying to avoid impact, but Reasy kept coming..

      Reasy, who was alone, died at the scene with authorities still not sure if he was wearing a seatbelt. Kuntz, who was wearing a seatbelt, escaped injury. The accident closed Hwy 79 in that area for about 2-½ hours.
