The CDC and public health officials are investigating a nationwide E. coli outbreak linked to multiple brands of recalled organic whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms.
According to cdc.gov, 39 cases of E. coli infections have been reported as of Sunday (Nov 17) although the real number of cases may be much higher. No cases have yet been reported in Nebraska. However, there has been one confirmed case in both Wyoming and Colorado.
Grimmway Farms issued the recall for multiple sizes and brands of organic baby and whole carrots on Saturday (Nov 16).
For baby carrots, best if used by dates range from 9/11/2024 to 11/12/2024. For whole carrots, dates range from 8/14/2024 through 10/23/2024.

Bunny Luv, Cal-Organic, Compliments, Full Circle, Good & Gather, GreenWise, Grimmway Farms (baby organic carrots only), Marketside, Nature’s Promise, O-Organic, President’s Choice, Raley’s, Simple Truth, Sprouts (baby organic carrots only), Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, Wholesome Pantry
Consumers are advised to throw away any potentially-infected product and clean surfaces in-contact with the infected items with warm water and dish soap.
