Nebraska Continues COVID Improvement, Wyoming Falling Behind

As of Monday morning, twenty-seven Nebraskans were hospitalized due to the COVID virus. It marks another week of decline, and is the lowest number since the end of March 2020.

In the last 14 days, 420 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in Nebraska. The vaccination rate jumped another percentage point and a half to 47.6%, up from 46% at the same time last week.

The state of South Dakota indicated 17 new cases of COVID with 21 currently hospitalized. The 21 hospitalizations is down 10 from 31 over the course of the last week.

57% of the Rushmore state has had at least their first vaccination shot, a number that is up from 56% last week.

It is unsure if the new cases in South Dakota are a daily or weekly mark.

Wyoming has reported 69 new cases over the past two weeks. Hospitalizations in the state have dropped by two, to 35, since last Monday.

The vaccination rate in Wyoming hasn’t changed in over a week and remains at 30%.
