Today, the Nebraska delegation announced the 2025 dates for the Nebraska Breakfast.
As the host of this yearโs breakfasts and dean of the Nebraska congressional delegation, Rep. Adrian Smith (R-NE) joined Sens. Deb Fischer (R-NE) and Pete Ricketts (R-NE), along with Reps. Don Bacon (R-NE) and Mike Flood (R-NE) to release the following statement:
“As the longest-running congressional delegation meeting in history, there is no breakfast like the Nebraska Breakfast. This gathering to celebrate our great state has continued since it began in the midst of the Second World War. We look forward to welcoming Nebraskans to Capitol Hill to participate in this cherished tradition during its record-setting 82nd year.”
Beginning at 8:00 a.m., the breakfast will be held in the Dirksen Buffet (SD-B48) in the basement of the Dirksen Senate Office Building on the following dates:

The Nebraska Breakfast was started in 1943 by Senator Hugh Butler. It is the oldest ongoing gathering of its kind on Capitol Hill. Complimentary coffee service will be available.
