Arthur County’s Dane Pilakowski scored three touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air, to lead Nebraska to a 42-14 win in the 13th Nebraska-Wyoming Six-Man Shootout Friday Night at Chadron State College.
The win, Nebraska’s 2nd in a row and 4th in the last 5 games, gives them a 7-6 advantage in the all-time series.
The Cornhusker State jumped out to a 28-8 lead at the half. Wyoming cut the margin in half with a 4:46 touchdown drive to start the 3rd quarter, but the Nebraska defense shut out the Cowboy State all-stars the rest of the way while the offense added 2 more scores.
Gage Mintken of Hay Springs, who is headed to CSC this fall, added a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead a Nebraska attack that gained nearly 275 yards on the ground.
Both of Wyoming’s scores were on touchdown passes thrown by Burlington’s Jordan Michaels.
