As they ramp up for another 11-day run, the Nebraska State Fair is reminding guests that all visitors can look forward to free parking on the Fonner Park Campus and off-site shuttle service during the Nebraska State Fair.
Courtney Glock, Nebraska State Fair Marketing Director, said on-site parking is available off South Locust and State Fair Boulevard, which encompasses over 4,600 stalls for patron vehicles.
โIn addition to the ample space offered on the west side of the campus, there is additional parking in the Lubbe East Lot at the corner of Fonner Park Road and Stuhr Road,โ said Glock. โFair guests who park on grounds can take a tram that routinely sweeps through the parking lots, to move guests from their vehicle to the gate, something we see as added convenience for guests of all ages.โ
For those who prefer off-site parking, free shuttle buses will be available from Sam’s Club and Central Community College at the top of every hour.
โOur large shuttles will provide quick and easy transportation to and from Fonner Park and will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with the exception of longer hours on concert nights,โ said Glock. “Our goal is truly to make the Nebraska State Fair accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”
The Nebraska State Fair has become a beloved tradition, bringing together communities from across the state to celebrate agriculture, entertainment, and heritage. Glock says this year’s fair promises to be just that: 11 days of memory-making experiences.
With the theme, All Roads Lead to Fun, the 2024 Nebraska State Fair is August 23-September 2 at Fonner Park in Grand Island. The fair has drawn more than 4 million visitors to its home in Grand Island since 2010.
