The Nebraska women’s basketball team earned a spot in the 2023 Postseason WNIT and will play host to Missouri State in the tournament’s first round on Wednesday in Lincoln.
The Huskers earned their third straight postseason bid, including a trip to the 2022 NCAA Tournament and an appearance in the 2021 WNIT.
Wednesday’s game will mark the fourth all-time meeting between Nebraska and Missouri State in women’s basketball, and the first since Dec. 8, 1993.
The Wyoming Cowgirls will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the opening round of the Women’s NIT on Friday.
Wyoming is 19-9 all-time in the WNIT and captured the title in 2007. This will be the fifth postseason tournament appearance in the last six seasons for the Cowgirls.
