The latest attempt by the Republican-led South Dakota House to make it harder for residents to take advantage of the initiative passed by the voters in 2020 legalizing medical marijuana failed Thursday.
A bill barring the sale of medical marijuana products, including gummies, that have “added sweeteners, flavorings, or colorings” failed 47-21.
That’s a change from House passage earlier this month of other substantive changes to the medical cannabis law.
